DIY - Maintenance Air Handler - Steps

  • Step 1: Unplug the air conditioner.
  • Step 2: Remove the filter and bezel or cover of the unit if needed.
  • Step 3: Spray the front coil of the air conditioner with a cleaning agent designed for this use.
  • Step 4: Clean the filter.
  • Step 5: Replace cover and filter and restore power after about 10 - 15 minutes.
  • Step 6: Run the air conditioner.
  • Step 7: Repeat if necessary.
