  • Step 2: Remove the furnace's access cover.
  • Step 3: furnace has been running- wait 30 minutes for the thermocouple to cool completely.
  • Step 4: Confirm that the flame sensor is removable.
  • Step 5: Disconnect the electrical wire leads to the sensor.
  • Step 6: Disconnect the other end of the leads at the control box.
  • Step 7: Remove the flame sensor.
  • Step 8: Install the new flame sensor in the same position.
  • Step 9: Connect the electrical leads to the sensor.
  • Step 10: Replace the furnace access cover.
  • Step 11: Finish.
